What is your previous experience with Microsoft?

Prior to US Cloud, I was an IT manager for about 10 years. I managed their on-prem environment, then migrated them to Azure Cloud. I did all the environment management, like integrating customers and clients, configuring systems, managing devices, basically anything that fell under IT. I also travelled around the world and coached different companies on the best ways to use and manage Teams.

What made you decide to join US Cloud?

I was looking for a company that holds family-like values and empowers their employees, something that US Cloud offers in spades. Having previously worked with Heath, I knew this place would be a good fit for me.

What does it mean to be a DSE and how does your role impact clients?

Rob Lundquist

For me, being a DSE is about driving customer projects. Customers have certain needs or worries that our team can bridge. We build a relationship with the customer and provide them support within whatever environment they need, like Office 365 or the cloud. I’m very focused on customer service and I love building relationships, not only gaining trust as far as technology goes, but knowing that they respect your opinions and insights means a lot to me. It’s also great that we build relationships with customers on a more personal level and really get to know them.

Are there any initiatives or projects that you feel strongly reflect the impact of your role?

A client recently put in a new request recently and mentioned me by name because of the relationship we’ve built. The ticket came in specifically because they trusted that I knew how to help with their current environment situation. Another of our clients came to me to gain a better understanding of Teams and how to utilize it more effectively, so I trained them on utilizing Teams to its full capabilities. I was also the lead technical consultant on a bigger project for a client that wanted to move from their on-prem SharePoint environment to an online one. It was a large project with others on the team involved but they trusted us to get the job done right.
